Greenhouse Emissions Data

Corporations that are registered under the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007 (the Act) are obliged to report information on their greenhouse gas emissions, energy production and energy consumption to the Greenhouse and Energy Data Officer (GEDO).

In accordance with section 24 of the Act, the GEDO must publish the following totals that have been reported by each registered corporation whose group had greenhouse gas emissions in excess of the 2008-09 publishing threshold of 125 kilotonnes, or who holds a reporting transfer certificate:

• scope 1 greenhouse gas emissions;
• scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions; and
• energy consumption.
