Richard Smith

Richard has over twenty years experience in the Australian mining, energy and infrastructure sectors, specialising in licensing, statutory compliance, and environmental management and impact assessment.  This includes eight years working as a Tenures / Senior Tenures Officer with the Queensland Department of Mines and Energy and more than twelve years with ELP.

Richard specialises in environmental impact assessment, mining and environmental licensing, land access requirements, legislation interpretation and application, and environmental management documentation preparation. 

Throughout his career, Richard’s work has been client focused.  He has extensive experience in client liaison, contractor and staff management, stakeholder liaison, budget setting and achievement, and marketing proposals and presentations.
