Vital Metals - Watershed Project EIS

An EIS has been prepared on behalf of Vital Metals Ltd for the Watershed Project. The proposed project is for an open-cut tungsten mine situated on Mining Lease Applications: MLA 20535, MLA 20536, MLA 20537, MLA 20538, MLA 20566, MLA 20567 and MLA 20576 and is located 23km north-west of Mount Carbine on the boundary between Cook and Mareeba Shires in North Queensland.  The initial rate of production is 6600 tonnes per year of scheelite concentrate for a period of at least 10 years.  The mineral is to be processed at the Watershed Project using a combination of gravity recovery, x-ray sorting and flotation.  The scheelite concentrate is to be transported by trucks to the Port of Brisbane for export.

The submission period commenced on the 3 March 2008 and concluded at close of business on 15 April 2008.
